One month out here

Tuesday 9 October 2007, by cib

Yesterday was my birthday and I can proudly say: I am one month old!. After all, it is not too bad around here. Somehow, life at my mother’s belly was kind of easier -did not have to ask for food and was feeling always warm indeed. Leaving this aside, out here everything is much more fun. Light allows me to see beyond the perimeter of my nose and I am the object of great affection from anybody who comes around.

Narrowness and obscurity have been replaced by confortable craddles (one of them even got wheels) and bright days (at least as bright as it can get in Galicia). Also, I am specially fond of breastfeeding -please note that artificial tools made in Italy also work well for me. Other things are happenning. Concentrating more my vision on things and their movement. Also, listening to music while dancing with mummy and daddy. Though, cannot control very well my arms, legs and hands yet, it is curious to observe how they tirelessly move all the time around me. sometimes I wonder, what the hell is going on here? will they ever stop for heavens sake?

Finally, without any doubt, the thing I love more is to be on my parents arms. When I feel alone, cold, hot, gas, pain, tired, happy, sad, piss, caca or I am just about right, I cry and they are instantly ready to generously offer their arms and chest for me. It is great...but am not sure how long they gonna stand this situation, as I overheard dangerous conversations plotting to reduce the scope of such wonderful services: Who said that the welfare state wasn’t in crisis?.

Anyway, just want to let you know that everything is going okay with my upbringing thing.

You can see all the photos and videos in my permanent photo album and video sections.
